Basic \hydraulics - module 3 -Activity 1

1-  Non - return valves:

Non-return valves are used to block the flow in one direction and allow free flow in the other direction.
Three figures below show three types of non- retun valves, name each one and state its function.

    on the top: shut off valve, closed and open manually
    on the bottom: check valve,used to allow the flow only in one
    direction and it will be closed completely in the opposite direction
    on the right: pilot check valve, it will allow the flow from A TO B and it will allow the flow in the opposite direction if it received signal from port x

    1 - Non return valves , block the flow
    in one direction and allow in the other direction

    2- Check valve , allow the flow only in one
    direction which mean in the other direction it will be blocked completely.

    Pilot Check Valve:it will allow the flow in one direction and you can give signal to port x and the flow will change to the other direction

    Shut off Valve : a Manually Opened and Closed Non Return Valve.

    Check Valve : a One way Flow Control Valve with a a Ball inside to block the other way.

    2. Check valve: Its used to allow fluid to flow in one direction and blocks the other direction.

    3. Pilot check valve: Its used to allow the fluid to flow from port A to P, but if port X gets a signal it will reverse the flow.
